Cost Share Sign-up Is Now Open
If you own land in Greenwood County, and are interested in improving the environmental quality of your property, stop by the Greenwood County Conservation District office at 1819 E River St. located in Eureka USDA office. The district can help you determine how you can possibly qualify for state financial assistance to improve your land.
Cost share sign-up is open. Call the office. Projects are approved by the district on a ranking basis. The ranking is done with help from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and may involve an on-site visit.
Anyone owning land in Greenwood County is eligible to receive funding to help improve their land. Funding provided by the Division of Conservation, Kansas Department of Agriculture through appropriation from the Kansas Water Plan Fund.
Those interested in receiving assistance are encouraged to contact the District office to apply. For additional information call 620-583-5544 ext.3 or visit the USDA office located at 1819 E River St, in Eureka, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Conservation District sponsors many educational events each year. Educating the public on conservation practices for land, water and wildlife in Greenwood County is very important to the District. During these events, the District has many volunteers.
